About the Trip
In June we (and a team of 18 people) flew to Quito, Ecuador, and worked in the Atacuhco community which lies in the necklace of poverty surrounding the capital city. We helped build a new church in this area and provided a Vacation Bible School (VBS) experience for the children of the community. Rachel’s Mom was part of this trip for the past two years, and her experience and excitement for the mission convinced us to go this year.
Rachel’s Mom and Roger were part of the construction team, and Rachel was part of the VBS team. At VBS we taught the kids about Elijah through music, drama, and crafts. The construction team dug large holes that will later be filled with concrete and used to support the new church building.
It was an amazing trip and we thank all of you who supported us and the mission. And we thank God for showing us that all things are possible through Him.
